What seems to have really changed (and in our view so much the better) is that people are being a lot less flash about their weddings and being far more thoughtful. We are seeing more and more couples who are getting an Auntie to bake their wedding cake or who are making their own table favours. It actually makes their day more individual and personal. In terms of styles vintage seems to be a big theme and petal and pastichio hues are quite popular.
This is fab for us as they photograph so beautifully. We have also had a great mix of clients wanting studio portraits. Our favourite this month was a group of three teenagers. Photographing teens in a way that makes them feel comfortable and that they don't find "uncool" can be a real challenge but we find if you really listen to what they want everyone (including the parents who are not only paying for the session but also want to hang the end result on their wall) can walk away with aset of images they like.
There have been a few other projects in the pipe-line as well but sadly I can't share the in the blog at the mo as they are for other companies and we have had to sign non disclosure thingies-sorry to be elusive but will reveal all when we can.Will add more soon.
